Club premises are located in Shaftsbury Park, in the centre of the town with the old town wall marking one of the boundaries of the outdoor bowling green. - Map

Founded in 1945 (associated with the NIBA 1946) for the promotion of the game of bowls the club offers a variety of bowling and social activities:

• Outdoor Bowls (April to September) with sections for men, ladies and veterans; each with teams playing in league and cup competitions. The club also hosts the annual Northern Irleand Bowling Association championships.
  
  
• Indoor (Short Mat) Bowls (September to March) with a team playing in the East Antrim League (current champions) and local cup competitions.
  
  
• Social: the club is fully licensed (lounge bar and function room) with a variety of activities taking place throughout the year, from Saturday night dances to special functions and events such as BBQs and monthly quizzes.
